Mixed Media 5

For both of these works, I used materials I had at my disposal, took photos of, and used photoshop to arrange them into more interesting pictures.  For the first one I used plastic egg shells used to store chocolates and wrapped them up with white paper, and lastly glued them to keep it closed. I wanted to fit the photo in a certain scenario, so I picked a photo of a sleeping dragon and a background of a cave with some light and placed the images together.  Work 1: book cover rework The materials I used for this work was first a cut out of a book cover of a fable story. Then I cut out some cardboard, as placement instead of regular paper, followed y using regular printing paper glued under the cover to extend it. I cut out the author and illustrator description and used torn strips of brown paper to glue around the names, as well as use rubber bands to hold the corners, while the glue held the center of the paper.  Work 2: Candy wrapped ad With this I also used a cardboard cut out as a placement for the materials. I decided to use an undershirt to be be placed on the board rather than paper. Once I cut the back and stapled the front on the cardboard, I painted purple stripe patterns to mimic a Cheshire cat feel. I then used fruit candies to glue them in a symmetrical pattern, and finally used a clear, plastic wrapping to wrap the piece to make it look more like a packaged product.
