Mixed Media Works 2

First work and second work: melted crayons mixed with acrylic paint, with some leaves added

With these works I wanted to think creatively of which  materials I wanted to use. With this first one, I decided to melt my old Crayola crayons in the oven and create an orange flower. It was kind of difficult as the melting process was tricky and I had to wait for it to cool off a bit. The crayons turned more so into soft chunks so I decided to spread and squish the crayons on the paper and leaves, and then add acrylic to give it more of a semblance of a flower. I did a second one similar to this one, creating a bunch of orange flowers using the now hardened crayons and using a brush to paint the acrylic, since the first one I used only my hands using gloves.

Third Work and Fourth Work: Origami paper and Acrylic Paint

With these I tried to learn some origami for the third work and in the fourth work I cut up some of the paper to glue the image I wanted onto the paper. The paint was added more so for details. The first one is meant to be a fox hiding behind a bush and the second a polar bear in a field of flowers.
