Mixed Media work 3

 First work: A Starry Night With this first work I used aluminum foil to mark as the ground and some parts of the sky background. I used acrylic black to paint the ground and tree silhouette and used ultramarine blue for the sky. I used watercolor blue for the blue on the paper and used a cut out of cloth to represent a moon on the top left.  Second Work: plant pot with lizard head With this I mainly used paper for the pot, which I used clips and rubber cement to keep it together. I used green origami to cut out leaves, as well as cut out some cloth to add an insect appear on one. Then I tried origami again to make the lizard head coming out of the paper pot.  Third Work: Dragon Nest This one I used brown wrapping paper to act as tree twigs and painted aluminum foil on the sides to portray them as wood logs. I then glued the origami dragon figure at the center.

 First work and second work: melted crayons mixed with acrylic paint, with some leaves added With these works I wanted to think creatively of which  materials I wanted to use. With this first one, I decided to melt my old Crayola crayons in the oven and create an orange flower. It was kind of difficult as the melting process was tricky and I had to wait for it to cool off a bit. The crayons turned more so into soft chunks so I decided to spread and squish the crayons on the paper and leaves, and then add acrylic to give it more of a semblance of a flower. I did a second one similar to this one, creating a bunch of orange flowers using the now hardened crayons and using a brush to paint the acrylic, since the first one I used only my hands using gloves.  Third Work and Fourth Work: Origami paper and Acrylic Paint  With these I tried to learn some origami for the third work and in the fourth work I cut up some of the paper to glue the image I wanted onto the paper.
